What to Expect at PHQ Miami
From your first inquiry to file delivery, here's how a typical Miami audiobook project runs at PHQ.
Book & prep
Choose your package, schedule your session, and receive our prep guide. The guide covers manuscript markup, vocal warm-ups, and what to bring.
Arrive at studio
Settle in, do a brief sound check and test read. Most narrators feel comfortable within the first 15–20 minutes. Your engineer sets levels and follows along with your manuscript.
Record chapter by chapter
Your engineer marks retakes silently. You re-read from the last natural phrase break when you stumble — no stopping, no pressure. Sessions are 2–4 hours with scheduled breaks.
Post-production (10–14 days)
Editing, mastering, QC review. You receive nothing until every chapter passes ACX spec verification.
File delivery
Chapter files arrive organized, labeled, and ready to upload directly to ACX, Findaway Voices, or Spotify for Authors.
